Join Brian Phillips for a journey through St. George and the Dragon, a much-beloved tale of the patron saint of merry old England! The seminar will include an introduction to the story, comparisons of St. George to other well-known knights’ tales, and an exploration in why such fairy stories endure, and even improve with time. Particular attention will be paid to “listening for echoes” while reading.

  • Students are encouraged to read the Margaret Hodges version, if available.
  • The seminar will be recorded; however, you must sign up before August 15th to have access to it.
  • Please note that login information for the seminar will be sent on the day of the seminar (August 15th).
