Sir Lancelot: It's Complicated (Webinar)

Thursday, June 20, 2019 - 4:00pm to 5:30pm

When: June 20th, 4:00-5:30pm EST
Where: Online
Cost: Only $10!

Sir Lancelot of Arthur's Table Round is the greatest of knights. He is also the reason for the collapse of Arthur's kingdom and the fellowship of the knights. And everyone, everyone, knows why: his love for Queen Guinevere.

In the legends, some authors present Lancelot and Guinevere's love as good and true and worthy. Other authors present it as unwholesome, sinful, and destructive. The truth is . . . it's complicated. Can Lancelot still be a noble knight, worthy of celebrating for his deeds? Can there be repentance and forgiveness and restoration for the man (and the queen) who brings down the kingdom and destroys the fellowship of the Round Table?

In this webinar, Matthew Bianco will consider some of the ways the story of Lancelot and Queen Guinevere have been told, and consider whether Lancelot is a noble knight or an ignoble enemy.
