When: Oct 27, 4-5:30pm ET

90 Minutes with the Classics is your chance to engage some of the world’s greatest literary works! In this installment, Brian Phillips discusses the Oresteia, a trilogy of plays by Aeschylus (“the father of Greek tragedy”). These plays – Agamemnon, The Libation Bearers, and Eumenides – begin with the homecoming of Agamemnon, the despised leader of Greeks during the Trojan War, and end with one of literature's most complex dilemmas being solved by Athena herself. You do not want to miss this!

In this webinar, you will:

•     Gain an overview of the three plays of the Oresteia and their characters
•     Grow to understand the importance of “nostoi” or homecoming stories
•     Explore connections between the plays, their characters, and other classic works
•     Receive tips for reading and teaching the Oresteia
•     And much more!
