Lost Tools of Writing Summer Course
In this summer course, CiRCE Certified Master Teacher Andrea Lipinski will offer an introduction to The Lost Tools of Writing. Designed to help you teach your students, this LTW class for adults will model the teaching process, while also helping you improve your own writing and thinking. This lively and conversational class will reveal the ancient truths behind the LTW program while at the same time enable you to teach effectively and powerfully on a day to day basis. She will reveal how to solve the three problems all writers face, the questions that make for the kind of deep thinking that leads to good writing, and why writing doesn't need to be a stressful or intimidating process.
This shortened summer course will cover the big picture of LTW, some difficulties students and teachers encounter, and sample lessons. Over the course of six weeks, we will meet weekly in the evening for one and a half hours online. She will provide a thorough introduction to the tools as well as the teaching of the tools. While we may not discuss the entire Level I content in six weeks, teachers will be prepared to teach at least the first five essays, which is sixteen weeks of lessons in just six weeks. Join us for this new opportunity to learn The Lost Tools of Writing from home in only six weeks of July and August.
All classes will be recorded and made available. Reading The Lost Tools of Writing Teacher's Guide introduction and appendices is recommended prior to class, and then individual lessons as we go.
