Assessment that Blesses
In this six session series, Andrew Kern guides participants through a reevaluation of how we assess students and schools. He challenges unquestioned assumptions, reviews the how-we-got-here history of assessment, and offers both ways to submit to our authorities without selling our souls and practical alternatives to those destructive and ineffective modes.
Kern argues that the Christian classical renewal has made wonderful progress over the past 30 years and that if it will turn the wisdom gained toward a recovery of more humane modes of assessment it will gain new territory for the sake of our students’ souls.
But beware: he’ll address how to assess the rest of the school or home learning context too. You won’t be able to hide!
