The Iliad,the Odyssey, and the Aeneid are at the heart of the canon of Western civilization. And at the heart of the three ancient epics are three great heroes: Achilles, Odysseus, and Aeneas. Each hero finds enduring glory through mighty deeds and deep suffering. In this session Heidi White will present the trajectory of glory for each epic hero while forging connections to the individual soul’s journey to God. As we contemplate the stories of our heroes, we identify our own pilgrimage to heavenly glory. This session will discuss how to read and teach pagan stories in light of Christian truth.
