What happens to a tapestry, blanket, or sweater when one thread get pulled too tightly, kinked, or cut? The other strands suffer. The same is true of our schools and home schools when we fail to see how all the strands (governance, curriculum, pedagogy, environment, community, and assessment) should fit together. This talk uses the weaving scenes of Homer and Aeschylus to guide our understanding of school life, with the hope of making them into strong, beautiful tapestries.
