Tuesday, January 21, 2020 - 4:00pm to 5:30pm

When: January 21, 4:00-5:30pm EST

Is Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird America’s best and most important novel? Renee Mathis thinks so and wants a chance to convince you too.

In this webinar she will look at the author’s life and the historical context of the work, as well as the question of the “prequel”, Go Set a Watchman.

For those planning to teach and discuss, she will look at the basic themes, offer ideas for discussion, and suggest some fun, short writing projects related to the book. Plus, she will look at age-related concerns regarding some of the potentially difficult issues that pop-up in the book.

• The seminar will be recorded; however, you must sign up before January 21 to have access to it. Registration will be cut off at 2:00pm (EST) on January 21.

• Please note that login information for the seminar will be sent an hour before the seminar (January 21).
