Level II builds on the foundation of Level I as students learn special topics of invention for a judicial address, refine elements of the outline to make them appropriate to judicial addresses, and learn more figures of speech and sentence-editing.  We will spend sufficient time reviewing Level I at the beginning to ensure that students are not learning two lessons at once during the refining lessons of Level II.

Students enjoy this course most if they begin it after they’ve started to internalize the habits of mind taught in Level I and are comfortable creating all the outline pieces. If they have internalized that thinking at a high school level with more mature thinking, it’s even smoother.
