Teacher wanted to teach five sections of history and serve as an advisor. Candidate must be eager to work with students of all abilities in a non-selective school and have a deep enough command of the content area to adapt instruction to students’ interests and needs. Candidate must also be willing to involve him or herself in the life of the school. We are seeking a master of the field of history, a curious lifelong learner, and someone who loves working with and for kids. QUALIFICATIONS • 2+ years of lead teaching experience in the middle or high school grades in an urban public school with a record of high student achievement highly preferred • Bachelor’s degree from a competitive college or university required. Concentration or advanced degree in teaching area preferred. • Fluent Spanish speakers and persons of color are strongly encouraged to apply.
