Job Description St. Michael High School (SMHS), a Catholic Classical Academy in Petoskey, Michigan is looking for a brilliant, energetic, and faith-filled educator to teach multiple courses in our mathematics curriculum, including Euclidean Geometry, Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. The position would commence August 1, 2022. In September 2019, St. Michael joined the Chesterton Academy Network of Catholic Classical Schools. As such, we have adopted their outstanding curriculum, including math and science modules. These materials form the basis of the courses the applicant will be asked to teach beginning in the fall of 2022. Currently, while we are indeed looking for a multi-functional mathematics teacher, applicants with a decided mathematics background would be most helpful. The ability to teach a science class or two, especially physics, would also be a plus. The ideal candidate will possess both teaching experience and a commitment to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. As a growing classical high school that employs both the Trivium and the Quadrivium, we are interested in attracting candidates with a passion for integrated learning that produces “Smart Saints” - who can spread the Gospel and pursue their educational and evangelical vocations with zeal and aplomb. Founded in 2013, the St. Michael mission is to nurture and elevate a new generation of joyful leaders educated in the classical tradition and truth of the Catholic faith.
