St. John Bosco Academy (SJBA), a Catholic hybrid school in Cumming, GA that serves students in grades PreK-12, seeks a part-time high school World Literature Teacher for its classical humanities program. The World Literature Teacher will be responsible for leading the class at the school each Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for one hour each day throughout the school year starting August 1 and ending May 25. Candidate must have high school teaching experience, excellent verbal presentation skills and a passion for classic literature such as: Collected Works of G. K. Chesterton Volume 2 by G. K. Chesterton Beowulf by Anonymous (Tolkien edition) Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse Candide by Voltaire The Brothers Karamozov by Fyodor Dostoyevsky The Law by Frederic Bastiat Inferno by Dante Alighieri The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli In addition, the Teacher will be responsible for writing lesson plans, leading class discussions, and grading student work.
