St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School is seeking a full-time Elementary Classroom Teacher for Latin for the 2017-2018 school year. Candidates should have experience teaching Latin in an elementary school and be familiar with Lingua Latina by Hans Orberg and the natural method or living Latin approach to teaching. Along with a love for children, a love for learning, and a liberal arts background, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree. This candidate should understand how learning is best accomplished when curriculum, methods of instruction, and classroom atmosphere are integrated and aligned with the developmental stages of children. Familiarity with classical education, virtue formation, and disciple making is preferred. The candidate should understand how a Catholic worldview permeates the curriculum and instruction, understand the role of the moral imagination to elementary education, and be an intentional disciple of Christ committed to providing a Gospel witness.
