School of the Ozarks, a laboratory school of College of the Ozarks, invites applications for a full-time faculty position in 9-12 science. Starting date is August 2017, with approximately ten required training dates during the summer; rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Masters degree or higher preferred. Responsibilities include teaching upper level introductory biology, chemistry and advanced biology, as well as overseeing high school student workers tending the school’s bee hives. The position is considered a College of the Ozarks faculty position, teaching in the laboratory high school under the direction of the dean, Mr. Brad Dolloff. Preference will be given to one who has successfully demonstrated the ability to build relationships and maintain high expectations in a classical Christian high school. The successful candidate must embrace the College and School’s Christ-centered mission and demonstrate excellence in teaching high school students, be committed to serving as a mentor and positive role model, and an ability to clearly communicate the relationship of science and the Christian faith.
