We are currently hiring for the following position: Middle School Math/Science Homeroom teacher This position includes the following general responsibilities: --Cultivate students' relationships with studies, people, and God --Serve with colleagues to promote whole person education for each student --Assist parents in helping students grow in character, habit, and skills --Continue one’s personal and professional growth as a learner and disciple This position include the following job requirements: --Be in agreement with RMCA’s Statement of Faith --Be active in a local church --Be in agreement with the school's Ambleside philosophy of education --Earned an educational or complementary degree (B.A. or B.S.) --2-3+ years elementary experience preferred --State certificate/licensure accepted but not required --Enjoy working with children in an academic setting --Possess a growth mindset for one's self and students --Be a role model of spiritual and academic ability and leadership Position Overview This position will share the teaching of our middle school students with several other homeroom teachers and specialists. This position will have an emphasis on middle school mathematics--including Pre-Algebra and Algebra I--and middle school science. It will also include co-teaching other subjects across the middle school with the middle school team. The position is for a full-time teaching position and includes insurance benefits as well as retirement, qualified tuition reduction for any children, and sponsorship of all required professional development through Ambleside Schools International. Starting salary is negotiable based on experience. NB: While this position is officially slated to start for Fall 2022, we are willing to consider a candidate starting this spring with either a part- or full-time teaching schedule.
