Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory, a new independent, classical high school in south metro Denver, seeks a dynamic teacher with a background in the liberal arts to teach mathematics and sciences. The selected candidate will teach the following to an inaugural 2019/2020 9th grade class: Euclid’s Elements; analytical geometry; astronomy; and Earth sciences/geology. Subsequent academic years will focus on algebra, calculus, and statistics, as well as biology, chemistry, and physics. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of the linkages between mathematics, sciences, fine arts, and the humanities, and have a passion for inspiring wonder and excellence in students who study mathematics and sciences. Candidates should demonstrate a proven ability to teach and lead students, and profess fidelity to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.
B.A. or higher; mathematics and sciences teaching experience or training in classical/liberal arts schools preferred.
