Jackson Hole Classical Academy Seeks a Dean of Academics for the 2021–2022 School Year Responsibilities for this leadership position will include planning, overseeing, developing, and refining curriculum, as well as working with faculty to be sure the curriculum is taught according to the school’s philosophy of education. The Dean of Academics will join the Academy leadership team alongside the Dean of Students, Dean of Faculty, and Advancement Directors. He or she will report directly to the Head of School. The ideal candidate is an experienced teacher of classical content with classical methodology and will be expected to teach 1–2 classes in his or her area of expertise. He or she will also likely serve as a faculty mentor for a small group of teachers. The Dean of Academics will play a central role, alongside the other members of the leadership team, in preparing the school to apply for accreditation through Cognia (formerly AdvanceEd). He or she will likely assist with coordinating college counseling. Required Credentials: -Master’s Degree or Higher -Experience in K–12 academic leadership -An understanding of and alignment with the mission of our classical, Christian school -Teaching experience (and a desire to continue teaching) -The ability to work as a member of a cohesive leadership team The curriculum of JH Classical academy is in the classical liberal arts tradition.
