The Advancement Events Coordinator will be responsible for managing the Academy’s donor database, supporting annual giving initiatives, and planning fundraising events. This position will report to the Director of Advancement and will be part of the Advancement Team at the Academy. The Advancement Events Coordinator will have support from the Marketing Team with designing and publishing print materials. Candidate must have a proven track record fundraising for nonprofit organizations. In addition, experience with major gifts, capital campaigns, and multi-channel Advancement plans would be helpful. Experience working in Raiser’s Edge and proven ability to carefully and accurately maintain data is required. Candidate should be detail-oriented, confidential, a task manager, a team player, and a strong communicator. Experience fundraising for a private, classical school is preferred. Responsibilities Database Management • Maintain donor management system (Raiser’s Edge, Blackbaud) • Design and produce detailed reports to facilitate ongoing stewardship management Events & Campaigns • Plan and execute all fundraising events • Plan and execute all donor mailings • Support Academy event logistics as needed Support Directors of Advancement & Operations • Serve as liaison between the Parent Volunteer Organization and the Academy • Support donor stewardship with acknowledgement and involvement The curriculum at JH Classical Academy is in the classical liberal arts tradition.
