To realize this goal, the principal must be an outstanding and experienced educational leader with demonstrated expertise in pedagogy, curriculum, instruction, and assessment within a kindergarten through grade eight learning environment. In addition, the successful candidate must possess an advanced degree in educational leadership; hold a current Illinois Professional Educator License with General Administrative and/or Superintendent Endorsements; and have to his or her credit at least five years of successful administrative experience, preferably in a Catholic school. Most importantly, the candidate is expected to adhere to all principles and tenets of the Catholic faith, to maintain a lifestyle that is in accord with Church teachings, and to promote the best interests of his or her students and the Roman Catholic Church at all times.
