Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory, a Catholic, classical high school, seeks a dynamic teacher with a background in the liberal arts to teach Henle Latin years I, II, & III. We are seeking a versatile teacher whose love of Latin is matched by their love of teaching and forming high school students in the Catholic faith. The 2021-2022 academic year will have grades 9th - 11th at the school. As such, for the Latin teacher to be full time, we will need them to also teach in another area of the curriculum. Teachers must have a passion for a Catholic liberal arts education, and must be able to lead a dialectically driven classroom. Latin plays a crucial integrating role in the Chesterton Academy curriculum blending elements of the faith, historical development, music, grammar, and writing. Qualified candidates will have reading and writing proficiency in Latin, should demonstrate a proven ability to teach and mentor students, and profess fidelity to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. The position is full-time, beginning August 1, 2021, with a competitive salary based on experience. Part time options may also be available. The Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory is a member of the Chesterton Schools Network. Founded in 2008 as a result of a grass-roots movement of parents, the Chesterton Schools Network offers a rigorous, integrated high school curriculum centered on the Incarnation of Jesus Christ.
