Due to growth in enrollment, The Atonement Academy is seeking a full-time Kindergarten teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. The successful candidate would serve as one of two classroom teachers responsible for teaching a core classical liberal arts curriculum in math, language arts (grammar, writing, reading), science, history and religion, and supported by specials teachers in choir, foreign language, and PE. Candidates should have experience teaching at the elementary or middle school levels, and be committed to Catholic classical education. Responsibilities and Duties 1.) Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate instruction across the curriculum 2.) Hold office hours to meet with students in need of assistance outside of class 3.) Communicate with parents, counselors, administration, and students 4.) Participation in professional development activities sponsored by school and other professional development activities as required 5.) Fulfillment of school duties as assigned 6.) Regular attendance at faculty meetings 7.) Fulfillment of professional development requirements Qualifications 1.) Hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline 2.) Have experience teaching at the elementary or middle school levels 3.) Be willing to pledge fidelity to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church 4.) Clear a background check 5.) Be a practicing Catholic who strives to live in conformity with the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church
