Join us for an in depth look at a well-loved novel: The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson.

If all you know about this author is that he wrote delightful children’s poetry, your view is about to take a turn for the dark. Reportedly written in just three days, Stevenson’s novel explores ideas of good and evil, friendship, reputation, addiction, and suicide. If words like “Victorian”, “gothic”,and “horror” pique your interest, you are in for a treat.

For those planning to teach and discuss, we will look at the basic themes, ideas for discussion, and some short writing projects.

This book lends itself beautifully to Lost Tools of Writing, Levels 1, 2, and 3 as well as the newest offering Lost Tools Guide to the Comparison Essay.  Come find out how!
