O Lord, I love the habitation of your house and the place where your glory dwells!

Psalm 26:8

SCRIPTURE tells us that in the kingdom of God, we will experience two components of heavenly reward: glory and home. The Kingdom of God is our homeland, suffused with celestial glory. When the dazzle of heavenly glory meets the security of a peaceful home, we experience something like heaven. As mothers and teachers, however, the glory we crave can often feel at odds with the homes we love. Which of us has ever said, “Wow, the mundane virtues of daily homeschooling and teaching sure satisfy my desire for glory”? Instead, we often feel like Achilles, who was forced by the gods to choose between glory and home. We perceive our calling as glory versus home, instead of glory and home. Yet, upon reflection, both Scripture and the great stories are clear: glory and home belong together. As such, our inherent yearning to unify glory and home in our lives can motivate our vocations as teachers and mothers. Join Cindy Rollins, Angelina Stanford, and Heidi White in Colorado Springs to delve into the unity of glory and home for mothers and educators.
