The classical education renewal has always been about bringing back things that were lost -- things of great value. It's been about reminding people that a better way forward involves looking backward. And this is all true. But it's true that classical educators with serious designs must also carefully consider what such looking backward should actually look like in our modern age.
What does it mean to be a classical educator in the twenty-first century? What does it mean to be a classical educator in a culture that is fundamentally hostile to it? What does it mean to speak of things like truth, goodness, beauty, wisdom, and virtue to an audience that doesn't want to hear it? Should a classical educator in the twenty-first century do things differently than educators in previous eras? What things are universal and what should evolve?
These are the sort of questions this conference will attend to. Join us.
Be inspired. Be challenged. Be renewed.
